Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger.”
Many times in a family an uncontrollable temper is passed down from generation to generation. Dad has a bad temper, so his son too, mother has a bad temper, so her daughter learns that same trait. You can control your temper, stop and speak to yourself when you're about to pour out your folly in anger. Command your flesh to line up with God's Word in Jesus' Name.
Proverbs 19:18 “Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.”
You honour God when you disciple your children. But you should not discipline in anger or when your emotions are out of control. They key to discipline is to be just. Deal with them fairly and just in a calm manner, let them know what you are going to do beforehand and why you are doing it.
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
We are to depend on God to enable us to raise our children properly and He will see to it that our children's lives will be blessed. An important part of our job is to keep them covered in prayer and release them in God's Hands.
Psalm 75:6-7 “For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.”
By doing your work as unto the Lord, you are sowing a seed for your future. Say to the Lord: I'm sowing this work as seed for my new job, and I'm believing for the best job I've ever had!” This attitude helps you to be promoted and will also give you a much better day – you can rejoice because you're planting seed!
Luke 16:10 “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”
Perhaps you want to be promoted on the job, but you spend time chatting with co-workers or using the company time to make personal telephone calls when you should be working. That means you are stealing time from your employer and is dishonest. If you are dishonest in a little, you will be dishonest in a lot. That's why its so important to feed on the Word of God, it teaches you what is right and how to live honourable.
Proverbs 28:20 “A”faithful man will abound with blessings, but he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.”
One thing this verse means is this: A faithful man will be promoted. Maybe you work at a job you don't really enjoy or think its not an important job. Even if you are not satisfied with your job, in God's eyes it's still important how you perform your duties. Do your work as unto the Lord, and He will reward you.
Psalm 67:2 “That Your way be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.”
We are saved to save others. We are living in exiting days, the biggest harvest of souls ever is about to come in. Prayer is the most important tool for your mission. People may refuse God's love, but they are defenseless against our prayers.
Matthew 28:19-20 “Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptising them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.”
Jesus had a mission while He was on earth and He completed it. And now it is our turn to do so. What is our mission? Introducing people to God and tell them how to receive eternal life! Touch a life every day.
Ephesians 2:10 “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should walk in them.”
You were created by God to add to life here on earth, not just to take from it. Whenever you serve other people in any way, you are actually serving God. God has a ministry for you in church and a mission for you outside in the world. Serving Him is not optional.
Revelation 4:11 “You are worthy O Lord, to receive glory, honour and power; for You created all things, and by Your will they exist and were created.”
They day you were born brought great joy in heaven. God created you for His own enjoyment. Our first purpose in life is to live for His pleasure. This is an act of worship to Him. This kind of worship is more than music.
