1 Corinthians 14:18 “I thank my God I speak with tongues more than you all.”
As Paul knew the importance of praying in tongues, he did it more than anyone in the whole Corinthian church and he was responsible for writing most of the New Testament. Its a tool God has given us to use to tap into the Mind of the Spirit. When we pray in tongues, we activate the Holy Spirit within us and He begins to teach and enlighten us. Its an amazing gift, start using it today, it will change your life forever.
Isaiah 54:17 “No weapon formed against you shall prosper, and every tongue which rises against you in judgement you shall condemn. This is the heritage of the servants of the Lord, and their righteousness is from Me,”says the Lord."
When the devil attacks you in some area of your life, don't sit around crying and begging God to save you. Don't let the powerhouse of God's protection go to waste. Refuse to be afraid of his weapon, because according to His Word, it cannot prosper. It IS your rightful heritage as a servant of the Lord.
Joshua 24:15 “......but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord.”
This is a powerful statement, it means my home is sanctified and set apart for God's Glory. What about starting a spiritual housecleaning by praying with your children in their rooms. Remove anything that is not glorifying God, like posters, books, photos, pictures or clothing depicting any kind of blasphemy.
Proverbs 15:1 A soft answer turns away wrath; but grievous words stir up anger.”
Many times in a family an uncontrollable temper is passed down from generation to generation. Dad has a bad temper, so his son too, mother has a bad temper, so her daughter learns that same trait. You can control your temper, stop and speak to yourself when you're about to pour out your folly in anger. Command your flesh to line up with God's Word in Jesus' Name.
Proverbs 19:18 “Chasten thy son while there is hope, and let not thy soul spare for his crying.”
You honour God when you disciple your children. But you should not discipline in anger or when your emotions are out of control. They key to discipline is to be just. Deal with them fairly and just in a calm manner, let them know what you are going to do beforehand and why you are doing it.
Proverbs 22:6 “Train up a child in the way he should go, and when he is old he will not depart from it.”
We are to depend on God to enable us to raise our children properly and He will see to it that our children's lives will be blessed. An important part of our job is to keep them covered in prayer and release them in God's Hands.
Psalm 75:6-7 “For exaltation comes neither from the east nor from the west nor from the south. But God is the Judge: He puts down one, and exalts another.”
By doing your work as unto the Lord, you are sowing a seed for your future. Say to the Lord: I'm sowing this work as seed for my new job, and I'm believing for the best job I've ever had!” This attitude helps you to be promoted and will also give you a much better day – you can rejoice because you're planting seed!
Luke 16:10 “He who is faithful in what is least is faithful also in much; and he who is unjust in what is least is unjust also in much.”
Perhaps you want to be promoted on the job, but you spend time chatting with co-workers or using the company time to make personal telephone calls when you should be working. That means you are stealing time from your employer and is dishonest. If you are dishonest in a little, you will be dishonest in a lot. That's why its so important to feed on the Word of God, it teaches you what is right and how to live honourable.
Proverbs 28:20 “A”faithful man will abound with blessings, but he who hastens to be rich will not go unpunished.”
One thing this verse means is this: A faithful man will be promoted. Maybe you work at a job you don't really enjoy or think its not an important job. Even if you are not satisfied with your job, in God's eyes it's still important how you perform your duties. Do your work as unto the Lord, and He will reward you.
Psalm 67:2 “That Your way be known on earth, Your salvation among all nations.”
We are saved to save others. We are living in exiting days, the biggest harvest of souls ever is about to come in. Prayer is the most important tool for your mission. People may refuse God's love, but they are defenseless against our prayers.
