James 5:16 “Confess your sins to each other and pray for each other so that you may be healed. The earnest prayer of a righteous person has great power and produces wonderful results.”
Relationships are so important in the eyes of God. As His children, He desires that we live in unity and stay connected with one another. When we are transparent and pray for each other, something supernatural takes place. We open the door for God to pour out His abundant blessing and healing in our lives. When we walk in love and unity, our prayers become more effective and His power is released through us.
Proverbs 14:34 “Righteousness exalts a nation…"
Many people are looking for ways to climb higher in life and the answer is found in the Word of God! The Bible tells us that righteousness exalts a nation. Righteousness simply means to be in right standing with God. It means you are honoring Him and following His ways. Webster’s dictionary says that the word “exalt” means “to raise in rank, power or character.” Righteousness exalts a nation, and righteousness exalts individuals.
Psalm 21:6 “For You make him to be blessed and a blessing forever…”
God is love, and out of His love, He gives good gifts to His children. It pleases Him to see you prosper, and He longs to pour out His blessings upon you. He wants to lavish you with His goodness and grace so that you can be an example of His goodness by extending that blessing to those around you. We are blessed to be a blessing! We are never more like God than when we are filled with His love and giving to other people. Ask the Lord to show you ways to be a blessing to the people around you today. Sometimes, it only takes a smile or something simple to minister the love of God to a person’s heart. Other times, God may require that you give something greater or more valuable. But remember, God promises that when you give, it will be given back to you, pressed down, shaken together, and running over! That means you can’t out-give God!
I Corinthians 6:11 “…But you were cleansed; you were made holy; you were made right with God by calling on the name of the Lord Jesus Christ and by the Spirit of our God”
Something supernatural happens on the inside of you when you call on the name of the Lord. First of all, the Bible tells us that God actually makes His home in your heart by the Holy Spirit. Not only that, but when you call on the name of the Lord, you are calling on everything He represents—life, peace, strength, hope, joy, healing, deliverance, forgiveness and so much more! It’s like receiving the key to a mansion filled with treasures—and it’s all yours! You can see that key in your hand; you can tell other people about it; you can know that you have access anytime you want, but you still have to take a step and use the key to open the door before you can partake of the blessings inside
Psalm 68:5 “Father to the fatherless, defender of widows—this is God, whose dwelling is holy”
So many people today carry hurt and insecurity because they didn’t have a relationship with their earthly father the way God intended. But no matter how you were raised or where you are in life today, you do have a wonderful Father, and you were born with a purpose and a destiny. God promises to meet all your needs, and He is the Father to the fatherless and defender of widows!
Malachi 3:10 "Bring all the tithes (the whole tenth of your income) into the storehouse, that there may be food in My house, and prove Me now by it, says the Lord of hosts, if I will not open the windows of heaven for you and pour you out a blessing, that there shall not be room enough to receive it”
God longs to pour out His abundant blessing on your life. He wants to open the windows of heaven for you. When you are faithful in your tithes, when you faithfully give ten percent to the house of God, He promises that your house will be provided for. Every time you give your tithe, you are making a declaration that you trust God. When you give, you are putting actions behind your faith that keep your faith alive. The Bible promises that when you give, it shall be given back to you. Like planting a seed, you can expect an abundant harvest. Remember, the scripture tells us that as believers, the tithe already belongs to the Lord and it is holy, or set apart, for Him.
Psalm 119:105 “Your Word is a lamp to my feet and a light to my path”
Do you need direction in any area of your life today? You might be making decisions about your job, home or relationships, but you don’t have to make those decisions on your own. God is interested in every detail of your life, and He’s provided direction and guidance in His Word. When life seems dark, or when you aren’t sure about which choice to make, turn on the light of God’s Word so you can see clearly what to do. As you meditate on His Word and confess His promises over your life, it chisels away the walls of doubt, fear and uncertainty that would try to block you or hold you back.
Psalm 92:12 “The [uncompromisingly] righteous shall flourish like the palm tree [be long-lived, stately, upright, useful, and fruitful]; they shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon [majestic, stable, durable, and incorruptible]”
God desires that you thrive and flourish in all things. He wants to prosper everything you set your hand to. The word “flourish” means to grow or achieve success; to be in a state of activity; to reach a height of development or influence. We are created to live fruitful, productive, and influential lives. The key is to remain uncompromisingly righteous. What does that mean? Righteousness is about being in right standing with God. It’s about receiving His forgiveness and making the necessary adjustments to align yourself with His Word. When you are uncompromisingly righteous, God’s Word is your final authority. You seek Him in everything you do and make Him a part of your everyday life.
Luke 6:38 “Give, and it will be given to you. A good measure, pressed down, shaken together and running over, will be poured into your lap. For with the measure you use, it will be measured to you.”
God has set up a system to bless you abundantly. He loves you and longs to pour out His favor upon you and increase your resources. In the natural, it’s easy to think that the way to increase is to keep what you have, but in God’s system, it isn’t about what you keep, it’s about what you give. We read about the example that God set for us in John 3:16: “For God so loved the world that He gave…” He gave His Son and received many sons and daughters as a result!
Rom 8:37 “No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through him who loved us”
In this scripture we are reminded that we are conquerors. The word conquer suggests being in a battle or war. As children of God we face battles all the time because we have an enemy, Satan, who is out to destroy us. I implore you to understand that your victory is guaranteed because Christ went into the battle for you first and he conquered death and destruction so that you may be a conqueror too.
