Isaiah 40:31 "But they who wait for the LORD shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run, and not be weary; they shall walk, and not faint"
You might say ‘How do I draw strength from God?’ The answer is: shift focus! Do not look at your weaknesses and at how overwhelming the struggle seems to be. Start looking at how big and well able God is to see you through.
1Samuel 17:47 "And that all this assembly may know that the LORD saves not with sword and spear: for the battle is the LORD'S, and he will give you into our hands"
Think of the Lord as your body guard. It is the responsibility of the body guard to ensure the safety of the one he is required to protect. That is exactly the case with God. He fights your battles and makes sure you are safe when you let Him. Allow Him to fight your battles for you.
Heb 12:2 “Looking to Jesus the pioneer and perfecter of our faith; who for the joy that was set before him endured the cross, despising the shame, and is seated at the right hand of the throne of God.”
Jesus our great mentor set an example for us on how to fight that good fight of faith. The bible says he was flesh and blood like us when he was here on earth. He made sure that he endures to the end and won the fight. You already have the Greatest cheer leader on your side, therefore hold on to the end.
Heb 12:1 “Therefore, since we are surrounded by so great a cloud of witnesses, let us also lay aside every weight and sin which clings so closely, and let us run with perseverance the race that is set before us”
There are rewards promised to you when you do not give up. Know that whatever you are going through right now other people have experienced it too and those who held on to God in faith saw their reward.
Romans 8:14 “For as many as are led by the Spirit of God, they are the sons of God.”
Do you need direction for your day…for your week…for the next step in your life? If you are a born again believer, don’t go running around asking people what they think you should do…You have the Holy Spirit on the inside of you! Ask Him today what He would have you do. He will always speak in line with His Word so you can be sure you can trust Him!
Galatians 5:16: “This I say then, Walk in the Spirit, and ye shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
As believers, we are not able to live a holy, acceptable life for the Lord in our own flesh. In order to please the Lord we must walk in the Spirit on a daily basis. Today consider your flesh crucified with Christ and obey what the Holy Spirit tells you. Have a day of victory!
Matthew 5:6 “Blessed are they which do hunger and thirst after righteousness: for they shall be filled.”
If you are feeling a bit dry in your walk with the Lord and the cares of the world are overwhelming you, make a decision to stir up your hunger for the Lord. Just having a deep assurance that the Lord is with you changes everything! When you choose to say “Lord, I’m hungry for you!” and by faith you spend time in His presence through worship, prayer, and meditating on His Word, He will fill you with His joy, His peace, and His strength – everything you need to have a day of victory!
Psalm 37:23: “The steps of a good man are ordered by the LORD: and He delighteth in his way.”
Are you looking for direction today? Are you not sure which decision you should take concerning your future? Understand the God wants you to make the right choice more than you do! If you purpose in your heart to please the Lord in all you do you’ll find that He is already ordering your steps!
Psalm 23:4 “Though I walk through the valley of the shadow of death, I will fear no evil; for You are with me…”
No matter what kind of difficulty you are going through, believe and know that the Lord is with you! And remember this…If you are going through a difficult circumstance then that means you are going to get to the other side!
Titus 3:1 “REMIND PEOPLE to be submissive to [their] magistrates and authorities, to be obedient, to be prepared and willing to do any upright and honourable work.”
Going to church, praying, and reading your Bible are ways to honour the Lord but how do you know if you are truly honouring Him? Take a good look at your life as a believer and ask yourself what kind of attitude you have towards those in authority over you. It is said that actions speak louder than words. Take today as an opportunity to prove your honour for the Lord by working hard, being productive, and having a good attitude towards those in authority over you.
